You see idols: Live report from the Zenbu Kimi no Sei da Budokan show

Zenbu Kimi No Sei Da. may be on hiatus, but that hasn’t stopped Codomomental from working behind the scene in order to immortalize their biggest show to date. If you read last week’s weekender, you’ll see that they recently launched a crowdfunding campaign in order to release a blu-ray of the show, and they reached the goal necessary to carry out the project in less than a week! In order to celebrate, we’re offering you a highly personal account submitted for publication by Richimetal. Because I’m not great at timeliness, the editing process took a while, so I’m glad we have a topical opportunity to bring it to light. Please enjoy!

End of an Era of TERROR: Most of KAQRIYO Out

I know we have been more of a blog (our true self, really!) and less of a news site in 2022. It was a weird year and timeliness regarding idol news just couldn’t be  a priority, unfortunately.

However, it is with a heavy heart that I figure I should use the event mentioned in the title as sort of wrap-up of the notable things that have happened in the last few months with Codomomental. Grab your tissues and let’s get to it.

Homicidols Best: Papermaiden’s Top Ten Favorite Idol Songs of All Time

Here is my idol song top 10. I wish I had something witty to say to introduce my list, but I’ll bare my heart in each song’s description instead. I’d just like to say that with the exception of my top pick (somehow!), I have all these songs taking up precious space on my phone because I know I’ll never get sick of any of them. If I could get them into my body for easier listening, I would. That’s how committed I am to each item of this list.

Let’s get to it!

It’s a Nonamera world, we’re just living in it.

“That girl thinks she’s the queen of the neighborhood

I got news for you, SHE IS”

Have you seen these lyrics from Bikini Kill’s Rebel girl? Clearly, Kathleen Hanna was prescient and wrote this song before the girl that would become Nonamera was even a concept in either of her parents’ mind. I’m kidding, of course, please don’t send me hate mail. This apparte and Bikini Kill have little to do with the musicality of Nonamera’s first solo release, and yet they are absolutely applicable to the blonde pixie.

The background is a deep lavender gradient becoming a teal blue, with magenta pink in the middle. It's the album cover. The visual is Nonamera's head, with an abstract photomontage coming out of the top of her head, as well as a separation just under her nose, with water coming out of it. The title "My Name is..." is written in caps and the font style is ballons-like, with a chrome/metallic impression.

Since said mini-album was just released, why don’t you hop in to read what we think of it?

I scream, you scream, we all scream for new Zenkimi MVs!

If it’s all my fault, I’ll do this more often; Zenbu Kimi no Sei Da has graced us with two new MVs in two days. While both are to promote their re-recorded albums Q.E.D and Q.E.D. Bi with the current seven members lineup, they switched things up a bit by picking songs that never got an MV before!

The lucky winners are Kimi Kimi Syndrome X and Cult Scream (and, of course, you the fan who is getting two brand new music videos).

I’m Serious, Kick out 2020 with Akugi’s First MV

Akugi, one of Codomomental’s new mysterious projects, has decided to soften out parting with 2020 by providing us with an amazing first MV for their first track r u serious?

Now, I use soften out here in the loosest of ways; our dear Dae has described the video as “Visual ASMR gone wrong” and “revulsing”. I prefer the term cathartic  and nightmarish, for my part. The song will wrap you in a trance-like state for just under 3 minutes, and the psychedelic visuals of crushing, squishing, stabbing and an horrifying figure straight out of the likes of The Magnus Archives.

Yukueshirezutsurezure to Disband on January 2, 2021

We ain’t got no words for this right now.

It’s worth missing some sleep over the new Zenkimi

Zenbu Kimi no Sei Da is finally back from their hiatus, with 3 new members. With the recent Mashiro departure and the pre-hiatus graduation of Yotsu and Akebono, many speculated that the group would be in bad shape. Rest assured their fearless leader did a great job reining in the new recruits.

Let’s discuss their first offering, Insomnia!

Wishes do come true: New Yukueshirezutsurezure MV

Today was a good day for fans of the blue, melancholic idol unit of Codomomental. While they announced their third album and its release dans (August 26!) a while back, they only just released its title, paradox soar, and its track list.

The new studio album contains five new songs, their recent singles as well as the solo songs of all members. Hue and Existence Metaphysical were previously released on the limited edition of exFallen, but have been re-recorded for this album.

The first track of the album was granted an MV, and it’s great! So, let’s talk Wish/~

KAQRIYOTERROR gets colorfully in-your-face with B.W.G.

Amidst the pandemic, some idols companies have thrived to make the best of it. Video-making-company-turned-music-label Codomomental has not only been doing regular streamed liveshows (mostly for their idol groups), they have also done some recording and announced music releases.

The time has finally come to release B.W.G. into the world. Initially, the recording was supposed to be released as gift to fans who reserved their tickets for the oneman show Bipropaganda. It’s now the A-side of their newest offering available to all.
