Shut It Down, DAIDAIDAI Just Gave Me Everything I Ever Wanted

Jesus.

Now that is the DEMON TAPES that I love so much.

I don’t have the right words for the song. Like that sick GARUDA track from the other day, this takes a really nice drive through industrial landscapes, but it’s so packed with … well, like everything. You kids who do EDM more than me might have better descriptors. Just … whew lad.

As for the MV? I haven’t been so transfixed since the first time I saw YMM’s “ONLY YOU”, which doubly counts as the first time that I knew, deep inside, that I was doing the right things with this idol business. If I had the time, I’d be giffing my favorite moments; this is necessarily impossible, as the entire thing is favorite moments. The twisted genius behind this needs to be exalted and given all the money.

“ZZ Allin” indeed. All that’s missing is the poop and fire. Both of which are possible at DAIDAIDAI’s first one-man on Aug. 25!

This suck goes on sale today, though:

And they’re doing a thing with NEMLESSS!

Buy the single, listen to it, play this for your friends, hold strangers at knifepoint and demand that they do the same, etc. I thought DAIDAIDAI would do big things this year, and this is one of the biggest things I’ve seen or heard. Bless.
