Despite absolutely no desire to hide my complete infatuation with Yanakoto Sotto Mute, given that they are perfect and their album is also perfect and by the way nothing is better than them, I had been deliberately quiet about them lately because, well, there wasn’t a whole lot going on. What has happened, though, was that they held their anniversary live over the weekend, and of course it was a show of other things that are almost as perfect as YSM:

There’s a lot of beautiful things in that lineup
The show was probably exactly what it looks like, a bunch of artistic alt-idoling, largely from the AQBI family but also some friends, and of course YSM headlined the whole shebang. There’s video on YouTube if you’re interested (the user linked below has most of the goods), but the real treat was that they closed out the evening by debuting a new song, “palette”:
Again, Nadeshiko remains one of the most underappreciated talents in the business
Viz Major’s post in the Facebook group also includes great photography from the event, featuring the members’ boss updated outfits.
I love you so much, Yanakoto Sotto Mute. Please come put on an amazing show at my birthday party.
