It’s Best Of Season and We Need Your Help!

All right you galoots, after a few weeks of teasing about it, I can finally say that we’re ready to get down to business for the official Homicidols Dot Com Best of 2018. Appropriate, seeing as how we just today got hit with stuff that’s probably going to be in the running for the Best of 2019!

Yes, the Homicidols best-of season runs December-November so that we can be both inclusive and timely on the ol’ publish date. After all, what if somebody decides to drop the literal best album, song, video and personal revelation in the entire history of music all on the day after Christmas, and we’d already published a Best Of? Madness! Unfair! So yeah, it’s a deliberate thing.

Anyway, details are below the flip, but you don’t need to venture so far to get instructions. What we need you to do is simple: Share your legitimate suggestions and nominations in the comments. Twitter is also acceptable; tweet at @weeaboowitch.

The details!

So what happened over the last few weeks, behind the scenes, was an internal discussion and stuff by Team Homicidols to narrow down what was getting to be an absolutely massive list of stuff from over the course of a very busy and often very emotional year. As such, we have short lists (or in some cases, long lists) of proto-finalists for each award category. What we need your help to do is finish off those lists.

What you see below is a list of each award not with its finalists, but with a list of things that are still sort of semi-finalists. That is, you can show support for the things below, or something else entirely. Just be aware that the things in the list now are things that are on the cusp, so if you have something to add, do so in the hopes of rounding up more support for the new thing, or it’ll all be kind of a waste. And if you’re thinking, “Maniac, this is dumb, what about the things that are the finalists, how are we to do anything without that knowledge,” I say unto you ah ha, have you been paying no attention over the years, this website excels at doing dumb things. There are even some awards that we’re already considering done, but you can still try!
