It was an all-around crazy week in our world. We had some big-name departures but were consoled by some big, surprise releases dropping out of the sky. Then we also had a couple big names from the past make unexpected appearances. It’s all documented below, but first:
It’s a three-day, holiday weekend in the US and I’m not doing anything idol-related, which is unfortunate because there is lots going on all over the place:

The new song that THEΔRAREz debuted at their one-man in LA is finally out. It is FIRE even though it’s called “RAIN.”

They started out as the black-hooded EMPiRE, slowly morphed into one of the classiest units to ever grace this site, and we loved them every step of the way. We will miss you, ExWHYZ!! I’m not crying. You’re crying.
Ruko Tsubomi took her final bow as a member of CHICKEN BLOW THE IDOL. Instead of going on hiatus as previously announced, Assa Kazahana, the sole remaining member, has decided to continue on as a solo unit while they recruit new members.
Just as Yulane Hoshino graduates, The Grateful a MogAAAz announced that Candy Yamaguchi (who has been on hiatus since June) will be graduating and leaving Gollipop Records effective September 30th.
SUZU will be graduating fro BABYBEARD following their performance at Saboten Con this weekend.

Mani Mamiya (ex. Yanakoto Sotto Mute) was invited to perform at Yuua Uchiyama’s (RAY, ex. dots tokyo) 10th anniversary live, “lo(ve) = your!<3.” The two teamed up to perform Yanamu’s signature song, “Lily.” It’s nice to see that everyone still remembers the mix, but it makes sense since Yanakoto Sotto Mute was unforgettable.
For the last few weeks, the Minna no Kodomochan YouTube channel has been releasing performance MVs for one of this site’s most revered and deeply missed idol units. It was there that RoseFaye of the Homicidols Discord Server noticed a link to an upcoming live show.
Yes!! Cinnamon will be performing as Minna no Kodomochan in what she describes as a “final live performance” on September 20th! For anyone who is lucky enough to attend, be sure to tell us all about it over on the Homicidols Discord Server so we can experience it vicariously.
