We are nearing the end of summer which got me thinking about the court astronomer who established Japan’s 72 micro-seasons. I mean, we debate what is the Song of Summer each year, but just think if we had to have those discussion every five days. Imagine the chaos and confusion over on the Homicidols Discord Server:

That would be tiring. We would need a mod whose only job was just to the track seasons which, I guess, explains the existence of court astronomers and poets. Now that I think about it, the 72-season system was probably created for the sole purpose of job security. The workload in the Department of Astronomy and Poetry would have exploded once they had to prepare for a season change every single week. The position of Department Head would suddenly become a very important role. They probably even got to boss around the flower arrangers.
My apologies for the digression. If it isn’t obvious, my knowledge of about Japanese history is almost entirely limited to the subject of chika and indie idol, 2010 through the present, so let’s chat about that instead:
