Your Homicidols Weekender #484

Banner image: THE ORCHESTRA TOKYO.

We’ve now had back-to-back weeks of seriously bad news on the oshiloss front.  At least the latest trend is to announce the unit’s disbandment and reboot dates at the same time. I appreciate this innovation as embedding hope in disappointment this way helps alleviate the need for the most severe therapies.

As always, before we get to the bad news, here’s the good stuff:

Zenbu Kimi No Sei Da. are just about to the halfway point of their ambitious European tour with a couple of weekend stops in Belgium. Their producer has asked for fans to send members messages of support over the next few days as they hit the most demanding section of the tour schedule.

While we’re on the topic of Zenkimi, if you haven’t already, you need to check out the exclusive interview conducted by Sabina of the Swedish-Japanese Performers Association and Dumpling Box.

pinponpanpon has made it to New York City.

Isiliel announced the first date of her 2026 world tour with a summer date at The Underworld in Camden, UK.

This new “hybrid anthem of awakening” from LADYBABY is composed by HAJIMETAL (longtime collaborator with Rie Kaneko).

In one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year, here’s our first new single from KAQRIYOTERROR in about four years.

Kaiju by Me, who release their second album next month entitled, Banana, give us preview with their new MV for “877.” FYI: the song title is numerical wordplay as 8 can be pronounced as “ba” and 77 is sometimes contracted to “nana” so 877 = “banana.”

The chorus translates as:

Banana banana banana
Bananas all the way to Route 877
So banana banana banana
Bananas all the way to Route 877
Still more bananas
Bananas I don’t understand
Banana, you idiot.

I screwed up last week and got (rightfully) called out on the Homicidols Discord server for forgetting to mention the new yumegiwa last girl album. In my defense, it was a rare Saturday release, so I had been listening to it for almost a full week by the time the Weekender came around and assumed I had already covered it.

So, check it out, despite the explicit lyric warning. I assumed that was an error as well but, No joke, our understated strange-pop girls drop a couple of f-bombs on this one.

You’ll Melt More!! releases their 14,000th MV.

RAY has released another remix EP, this one reinterpreting some of their foundational tracks into ambient arrangements.

THE ORCHESTRA TOKYO celebrate their 5th anniversary with their best new single in quite some time.

uijin is the current front runner for Best New Song Title of the year with, “HELLSIDE LIFEHACK.”

We’ve had a number of PVs from SOVA’s newest unit, but now Drawry. has released their very first official MV.

There aren’t many things better than a GoodDay band set.

may in film takes dolly out for a swing in this new lyric MV.

Welcome Fukuoka idolcore unit fmode who are making their Homicidols debut. The “f” stands for “forte” which means LOUD.

UNBS is always good for a rousing PV.

The new one from Kamisama Parade is just pure, guitar driven, escapist fun.

Here’s a wholesome new rookie unit named myojou whose concept is, “The Story Drawn by Six Girls in the Dawn Sky.”

Congrats to the latest idol to enter the ranks of motherhood: Kokone Suzuki of SAKA-SAMA.

Konton Shoujyo is still dropping MVs months after disbanding. The producer is also looking for anyone who wants to help him clean out the office including any idols or cosplayers who can help take the mountain of costumes off his hands.

Check out the debut live of Cissné, the new band project of hikage (aka Shidare  Futamaruya, ex. Yukueshirezutsurezure).
