We are closing in on the end of the Homicidols Best of 2025 awards eligibility period. For those who have been around the sun with us before, our “year” runs from December through November, so units only have one more week left to drop an album, MV or explode in heartbreaking enough fashion to make it onto the short list. I will be sending out the nomination form early next week to get the ball rolling, so look for that. This year, I am hoping to have the voting in mid-December and the results published on January 2nd since I am heading to Japan shortly thereafter. Let’s see if this plan works out…

THE ORGANICS release an new MV for one of the best chill tracks of the year. I’m not sure if everyone keeps a “Chill” playlist to de-stress, but this song is on mine and favorited so it gets extra rotations in the shuffle. Maybe we should we add “Best Chill Track” as an awards category this year?

Sengoku Animal Gokuraku Joudo (aka Senkyoku ) released this MV last week but then deleted it before I could put it in the Weekender. Let’s see if it stays up this time.
MofruRock is the official idol unit of an anisong bar which may explain the vocal power on display here. Singing lots of LiSA tunes is great training for belting out those sustained high notes.
AVAM are good subversive fun. They may look like a trad idol unit but then slip middle fingers into their choreography. We know they’re really on team Homicidols.
