Your Homicidols Weekender #393

I have to apologize if the Weekender isn’t as full of content as usual this week, but we got hit by malware late Friday so I spent the evening cleaning the site of infected files instead of finishing this post.  We’re all clean now, but the draft Weekender was a casualty in the purge. I have pieced it back together as best I could from my unreliable memory.

One thing that I certainly would never forget is that Yurapico and GARUDA are heading to  Europe next week. Just as April 1 will be forever known as Fox Day on the Homicidols calendar, the first month of summer shall henceforth be known as, Zuukyun June.

For those of us stateside, Isiliel will be kicking off the US leg of her world tour next week as well.

Not to be outdone, Broken By the Scream announced their very own European tour for later this summer.

Perfect for those summer nights, here’s a sweet punk ballad from CHEMICAL X.

The new one from YOLOZ is very heavy, but I’m not sure what else to expect from a tune called, “Diablo.”

The new EP from usabeni should feature heavily in your Songs of the Summer playlist.

Saki Chitose, perhaps better known as solo idol unit 2&, released her first single under this name.

How about a PV form a  kinopo. band set.

situasion is extraordinary live as well.

nonayu released a new single composed by syva.

FiDZ released an MV to go along with their new MV.

metarium welcomes in summer with a seasonal swimsuit MV.

Over on the Homicidols Discord server, Carrythezero has been recovering from a broken shoulder, but has finally recovered enough to tell us about this promising new unit called cleomery who hold their debut live in late June.

Idols  In  Out of Focus

A unit simply referred to as  DEMON TAPES NEW GROUP is set to debut on June 29. We don’t typically talk about a group before they even have a name, but this one has us a little bit excited.

The reason behind our fervent anticipation is that this unit will be co-produced by NARASAKI of the legendary post-rock, shoegaze, noise pop, thrash band,  COALTAR OF THE DEEPERS. Closer to home, NARASAKI is also known as the composer behind two of BABYMETAL’s signature tracks: “Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!” as well as the classic, “Catch Me if You Can”.

They did drop a preview of what we can expect in the form of their first song called, “PANDA CHAN.”

Here’s the first and last live performance of “A WRONG VOYAGE” from KOSAME’s graduation live.

Codomomental has launched a new unit.

Speaking of Codomomental, Seireki13ya added a new member making them a foursome.

ATARASHII GAKKO! is popping up everywhere these days, including on the new Shiina Ringo album.

Have a Good Weekend!
