Your Homicidols Weekender #380

We got some exciting news this week from our friends at Chaotic Harmony: in the biggest overseas gig announcement of the year so far, Yurapico will be making her US debut this upcoming Labor Day weekend at Saboten Con!!

If you can’t wait that long to see an iconic solo idol performance in America, Chiaki Mayumura will be appearing at SXSW in just a little more than week from now.

And if you spend any time on social media, you may have noticed something happening with that idol unit/dumpster fire known as ZOC. If you’re interested in more on that drama, visit the # tabloid-scandals channel of the Homicidols Discord server.

Back to news we like:

While Isiliel was in Taiwan, she took the time to hang out with one of our favorite overseas idol units: Thailand’s AKIRA-KURØ.

If nanoayu doesn’t want to see us happy, then she needs to stop posting new MVs.

“BABYMETAL DEATH” finally gets an official video (unless you count the 2 second video released as a DVD bonus back in, like, 2013).

POPPiNG EMO cranks out a lot of music and performs almost constantly, but they release very few MVs, so let’s enjoy this.

AKUMATICA dropped an MV to support their debut album release.  Such a simple concept but it’s executed brilliantly. Bookmark this for when we start the conversations about Best MVs of 2024.

Another unit from the class of ’23 that’s turning heads in ’24 is NARLOW.

Fredo posted this over on the Homicidols Discord server and it sent me down a rabbit hole. Meet Yushi Tenshi (meaning: “barbed angel), a psychedelic downtempo solo idol.

RAY reposted their Manual for Enjoying Live Idol Shows translated into English by Azusa (ex. For Tracy Hyde). They also announced that hey are dropping a new EP next week consisting of re-recorded songs.

We are definitely reviving our Best of the Year award for new unit name. Meet END OF MISERY.

They will be competing against this other fellow potential Best New Name nominee, MOON RABBiTS.

We take any opportunity to spread the word of senosister.
