The thing about idols … look, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Idols can do anything. And sometimes that means idoling on top of having a day job in a maid cafe — they go together like peanut butter and jelly. It’s fine. And oftentimes said idoling while maid cafeing means that you’re idoling as an extension of said maid cafe, which means being all tradol and kawaii and stuff, which, okay, fine, it is what it is.
But then sometimes management goes “You know what we need? A friggin’ rock angle.”

Yes!
That’s the staff at @Home Cafe. This sucker’s coming out as a CD/DVD on April 1. I’m amazed, actually. That’s not normal for them at all! Get a look at this wrong-kind-of-madness!
Don’t let the title fool you, though it is oddly appropriate under the circumstances
They also do wacky stuff like this completely on-the-hose Harry Potter knockoff:
They say they’re the most popular maid cafe in Akiba. I have no way of verifying or contradicting that, so I’ll take it! Weird.
@home is a pretty big chain if I remember correctly. I wonder which individual café the girls are from, I know nothing about the behind the scenes workings of the Idol-maid thing.
Hi. New data for this video (excuse my english, only spanish, deutsch or italian).
Their Band Name is “最強はぐ☆ぷる” , which is something like “Strongest Haku ☆ Puru” (The Powerful People), a brand-new Sing&Dance Project, comprised of five Maids from the @homeCafe ! Their 1st Single will be shortly released. The Name of the Group Leader Maid is “Maetel” actually (the one with the pink Hair) who works as the Headmaid of the 5th-Floor Cafe at the Main Location in the Mitsuwa Building in Akihabara, Tokyo. Saludos Amigos!
Muchas gracias!
Entendemos un poco español así que no dude en charlar con nosotros.
Deutsch auch; gibt’s vielen Fans aus Deutschland und der Nähe.
This was performed at KAMEN JOSHI’s PARMS Theater in Akiba.
Yeah, Saki was all over that on Twitter earlier. 🙂 I’ve seen a few things pass through PARMS. It must be a good venue.
It is, I love it there!! XD
