I’m pretty sure that the last time I had occasion to post anything related to Tokyo Rockets was this old post. Kinda thought they might be going somewhere! But they’ve been fairly quiet since releasing their debut single a year and a half ago, just performing when and where appropriate.
And then, poof, just the other day, they lost their leader, Yano Yuuki:
昨日は矢野悠来卒業ライブにお集まりいただきありがとうございました!
応援してくれた方も本当にありがとうこざいました!
ラストライブ楽しくて幸せでした! pic.twitter.com/NkdhL524yo— 東京ロケッツ (@Tokyo_Rockets) November 7, 2016
I initially read that as “our graduation show” and just about spit
So I guess the group’s going to be carrying on! That’s good. We need more highly spirited hard rock in this world, and poor Party Rockets GT can’t carry the entire load by themselves, same agency be damned.
Enjoy an additional taste of what may yet be:
Ironically, I think the average age of Tokyo Rockets members is now greater than that of Party Rockets GT members, and that amuses me a great deal.
Well, they have 1 single released almost 2 years ago- doubt they will ever put out another. Might as well call it a day.
