Yeah, We Got the Takari Takara Song Too

With all apologies due to the good people at Codomomental Inc., while yes it is in fact the intention of Homicidols Dot Com to render completely void their attempts to impose short two-hour caps on the preview tracks released by the company’s artists, they must know that we do it out of love and a genuine desire to expose those artists to broader audiences outside of Japan. Timing is hard for people, even for us even under the best of circumstances, and it’s not like we profit from it, you know?

One thing we haven’t done before, I don’t think? Share the track a whole-ass day later. But, uh, it would be negligent — nay, disrespectful — of us to not share this preview/debut with the world, so, uh, let’s just drop all the pretense all the way. Takari Takara is the name, and very likely a familiar one to you. This is her not-quite-long-expected solo debut with Codomomental, and one that we here at Homicidols HQ have been eagerly anticipating. Yes it dropped under normal rules (also: yesterday!), so yes let’s follow the forms. This is how you connect with her:

And as for the song: Continue reading

Believe It or Not, You Can Still Hear the Zenkimi Preview Tracks

You may have seen the news this morning that Zenbu Kimi no Sei Da is releasing another album of re-releases, which is all for the good even if I do personally prefer my Zenkimi to be of the more chaotic variety. There’s an MV coming, too, apparently. But no Zenkimi announcement of music to be released is complete without preview tracks on two-hour windows, which we’ve lately been a little bit less aggressive in grabbing afore they’re gone, but I did get to this morning, hallelujah.

First, the tweet:

Those links aren’t going to do you any favors at this point, I don’t think, but we here at Homicidols Dot Com do pride ourselves on catching these guys before they truly do disappear forever. It’s a service to the late risers and people who aren’t terminally online! I did however restrict the post to just the track we haven’t heard a hundred different times and ways already (if you want that one, here), so let’s go through the motions from here and … you know the good stuff is behind the jump.

Codomomental Strikes Twice: New Track from Tokyo Tefutefu

Well, friends, we may have lost Yukueshirezutsurezure for good over the weekend (I hear that Daemon’s working on a retrospective), but Codomomental has proven over the years to be nothing but extremely flexible no matter the circumstances, and there are a pair of new projects for us all to become irrationally excited about. The first to meaningfully see the light of day was akugi, and now today we get the first (aural) look at the latest piece of the company’s puzzle, Tokyo Tefutefu.

As usual, it’s a two-hour preview; as usual, we here at Homicidols Dot Com love and respect you and will help you listen if you miss the window.

You know the drill. Continue reading

Let’s All Listen to New KAQRIYOTERROR Together

Oh heck yeah, this is exactly what I was waiting for — it didn’t take long for KAQRIYOTERROR to go from announcing a new album to promoting the sucker. In true Codomomental fashion, the official window is two hours, and we immediately dishonor that.

More on the flip. Continue reading

Monday’s Worth It When KAQRIYOTERROR Has a Preview for You

I was definitely going to skip idol today, gang. I’m tired and there’s a lot of work to do besides, and the last thing I wanted to see were DMs, because the mere suggestion of DMs means that idol things happened, and I usually want to at least pretend to follow up on them. But what a choice to make to look! There are things! Posting things!

First up today is the latest two-hour (guffaw) preview from the chaos merchants at KAQRIYOTERROR, who will make this official release next Wednesday but right now really want you to listen to “Persona” and talk about it online with #Persona_! Which is likely because there’s all kinds of stuff related to the video game on Twitter right now, a very happy coincidence no doubt. Anyway!

You know what to do. Continue reading

KAQRIYOTERROR, ‘Identity Crisis’: What Is Two Hours Compared to Eternity?

Wake up! Grab a brush and put a little KAQRIYOTERROR in your face! Yes gang, now that things over at Codomomental HQ seem to have calmed down, they’re all a-flutter with the two-hour track previews again, this one KAQRIYOTERROR’s new(ish) regime taking on arguably the best song that the group’s ever done:

You know the Codomodrill. Continue reading

You Have Not Quite Two Hours to Listen to the New Tsurezure!

It’s been a while since I did one of these — let’s see if I remember the formula.

I mentioned these upcoming solo songs from the … I was going to say “newbies” in Not Secured, Loose Ends, but it is now quite true that nobody is “new” anymore, per se, and that really only Komachi is truly a group veteran, so I say instead members of Not Secured, Loose Ends, which they’ll be employing in their nationwide one-man tour, and which had better include the recently-mysteriously absent Komachi, but that’s a topic for a post we hope to never have to write, so instead let’s listen to one of those songs, which is now available under the terms of what I like to call the Codomomental Special!

Two hours, yes, and that time is already dwindling, but this is Homicidols Dot Com and making archives accessible is something that I like to do, so: Continue reading

All-but-final Songs and Details on the New BiS Album

Ah, and now we reach the point in the promotional machine when a new release (specifically, a WACK release) is laid almost completely bare before the world and all of its details are known and we get to speculate wildly about what might fill the otherwise-empty informational crevices. Behold, the new BiS album, now more than just a bunch of stuff on Soundcloud:

A title! A track list! A … a cover that looks a lot like it’s really playing up an appropriate punk rock association while also trying very hard to avoid being sued by Green Day! Good lord, after these tracks, there’s just the one left to show off, and it could also be a Green Day reference if you’re willing to stretch a little, and I’m guessing that’s where the MV will come from, the only question really being when, it being a real shame that we’re still more than a month from the release date, I say again.

But let’s listen to the new songs, which you can also still download for a hot minute (I’m sorry!): Continue reading

Is a Tsurezure Remix Album Preview the Not Secured Part or the Loose Ends Part?

Such philosophical quandaries are not for the faint of heart, nor for the enterprising fancy idol blogger to contemplate too dang hard because these Codomomental previews blink back out of existence just as soon as they appear. We can deal with existential questions later!

For now, this morning brings us a preview track from Yukueshirezutsurezure’s upcoming album of remixes and re-recordings and all that jazz. Which I think I didn’t know about! That’ll happen when you disappear for a couple of weeks. But fun, I’m glad that’s happening. Take a good cue from a good Zenkimi thing. Anyway, your song:

Two hours are fake, yada yada. Continue reading

Archiving Old-New Zenkimi Because the Gods Demand

It is the fault of nobody at all that Zenbu Kimi no Sei Da decided to flash-preview their ninth(!) single, which is coming at the end of the month, which threw me into an absolute tizzy of confusion about which release is which and when it’s happening and it didn’t actually matter because this all happened on Saturday and Team had one heck of a weekend. By the time we were able to catch up, the whole moment had passed, so I figured, hell, we missed the window, but we can still share, and let’s do it like always because if there’s one thing that Homicidols Dot Com has done consistently over these long years, it’s share Codomomental tracks on a template!

Now, ordinarily this is where we begin the whole song and dance about release windows and I do the performative routine and blah blah blah, so let’s fill in the gaps. Single:

And the track, you can still preview that (as of this writing!) … hhere.

Lyrics?

No, man, I told you, we missed the window. In fact, because there are other Zenkimi items but this is purely for archival purposes, this post is over!
