Color me very impressed by the raw amount of good stuff this week, and how much we covered it. It had been a while! Heck, when was the last time I managed three in a day? That goes back a good while, it does. Like, yeah, maybe you actually secretly all are in fact completely, hopelessly owned by The Other Unit Close to SCRAMBLES and are just really good at hiding it. No! It beggars belief! POPPiNG EMO Is Very Literally So Very Good

The year is young, and it may be true that I can be fairly given over to hyperbole even under the most sober of circumstances, but after twice in a short span acknowledging that I already have two (very) early Song of the Year frontrunners, and declaiming the ongoing majesty of the provider of one of those favorites, I find that something I stuck in the back pocket to review later is, uh, not just on the same trajectory as That Very Same Thing but also doing it in a really similar circumstance?

Well this is embarrassing. You see, the other day, I’m doing my idol homework and doop-dee-doop, hey look a POPPiNG EMO thing, let’s do something with it! From which descended a few quickie takes that happen when I’m scouting but don’t intend to write a thing yet, which is to say that I was mostly just skipping through isolated 2-3 second clips of the video to make a snap decision about what to do with it. And friends, let me tell you, every one of those takes was the wrong take.

I assume that you all have been enjoying POPPING EMO over the past several months, anyway, but I also assume that all of idol was frozen in carbonite in mid-February and is only now being thawed out, so it’s in fact neither here nor there that this randomly SCRAMBLES-aligned group up and dropped like 20 tracks onto Soundcloud the other day. Right? Like, their Twitter looks fine, albeit short of details. Nothing actually happened, right?

Good lord, is it Wednesday? It was Saturday morning, like, three minutes ago. What the hell happened? Oh right — friends, if you ever get the occasion to have a job that involves board meetings, do something else instead.

So this thing that I wanted to post about on, like, Monday at the absolute latest!
