Your Homicidols Weekender #302

While Daemon is living his best life seeing MELON BATAKE A GO GO, I’m in charge of the weekender!

We published a trilogy of articles having Nonamera as a pivot: one about her solo album, one on KAQRIYO TERROR’s newest release and finally, a piece of Kyunchi’s collaboration with her. That’s a whole lot of content for a week!

But what else happened in the idol world?

CHOO-CHOO! All Abord The Wack Train!

When Kerrie spread word of the WACK train, I had to say, I was intrigued.

Did WACK make their own version of Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari?

The Contenders: Team Homicidols Best of 2022 (So Far)

We lost so many veteran and A-list talents last year that there were thoughts that 2022 would have a dearth of compelling new chika idol releases. To our surprise, the first several months of this new year have instead seen veteran idols producing some of their best ever work while new units have been dropping captivating releases from the word, “Go!” We usually wait until much later in the year to start tossing around contenders for “Best of the Year” nods, but Team Homicidols is finding ourselves so overwhelmed by the volume, diversity and quality of new music that we felt it was important to make some mid-year citations for posterity.

KASHiWACK Cataclysm

If you haven’t been keeping up with the news lately, this might come as a major shock: AKB48’s Kashiwagi Yuki (also known as Yukirin) joined every single WACK group at once! How do some people find the time, honestly.

ASP Comes Through Your Front Door

We’re a highbrow publication, so the headline about the group called ANAL SEX PENiS was kept tasteful once again. So without further ado let’s get right into talking about those wild WACK girls who love to prove they’re anything but pusillanimous – this is “the MAN CALLiNG,” so you’d better answer!

Surprisingly Nice ASP

If you’d genuinely like to know the original title of this post, please see the footer

Definitely didn’t expect to get another ASP MV so in the wake of their debut album (now more than a full month old), but gift horses and mouths and all that, so of course I joined many among you in excitedly clicking that link when it dropped yesterday. And then, like many among you, I watched first in confusion and then rapt horror! Oh, and the song is a delicious and powerful anthem that I think we’re only going to grow to appreciate more and more over time!

Some New ASP For Free

Homicidols are of course the most esteemed and respected idol publication online, so we’d never stoop so low to use clickbait headlines. In other words the staff wouldn’t let the author use “FREE ANAL SEX PENiS” as the title. But we do have free ASP songs for you guys! Really!

Oh Lord, ASP Has Kind of Landed

As well-documented by Cal the other day, new WACK unit ANAL SEX PENIS was pre-unveiled at the close of the company’s annual audition/boot camp/torture center. You’ll get more out of the experience by reading the post, honestly. I don’t need to re-explain it. But in the intervening time, which is to say like two whole days, the group shot past the original Twitter follower goal set by one Mr. Watanabe Junnosuke, so the goal posts were moved and have since been surpassed again, and whether that has anything to do with this first first audio sample from ASP isn’t as important as the possibility that at some point the stupid masks will come off, literally and figuratively, and we’ll know if this is another EMPiRE situation or more of a SiS.

Anyway, first song, for what it’s worth: Continue reading
