‘MONSTER’ vs. ‘MONSTERS’ Actually a Bloodbath

Didn’t see that one coming! A little over a week ago, I found that a joint media appearance by Q’ulle and BiSH would be a fun opportunity to pit their two similarly titled songs against one another. The results are in!

And I did not expect that! Like, BiSH is great and all, but I’ll cop to voting for Q’ulle on this one because the choruses and entire second half of “MONSTER” is as top-tier as it gets.

Maybe now you’ll feel like contributing to the power rankings?

  1. If I may say something… Q’ulle’s “Monster” is a really good song, full of qualities, and the MV is great, yet in my opinion, it has really nothing in common with BiSH’s “Monsters” apart from the title, so I think people did not exactly vote for the songs but rather for the MVs, and obviously “Monsters” is far more interesting from that point of view than “Monster”. “Monsters” has a story and could even be seen as a metaphor of the condition and fate of idols in general (that’s what I DO see, you see ?) while “Monster”, even though being a great performance, still remains so and doesn’t tell any story to most of the voters, even more when we don’t understand the lyrics (they tell about… Oh well, I don’t know either). This is why I think people judged the images more than the music, in this particular case. Just my opinion.
