Inside the Homicidol Mind: Zenbu Kimi no Sei Da on ‘Wagamama Shinsei Hominina’ Etc.

I got a treat for you guys; our man Phillter continues his triumphant translational return by covering this Zenbu Kimi no Sei Da interview from Natalie.mu. The subject? As with all things Zenkimi, a bunch of random stuff in addition to their new single!

This one’s legitimately great. Getting into a Zenkimi member’s head is like stepping into some weird, twisted, functional Candyland.

Specifically on the new release, “Wagamama Shinsei Hominina”:

Mashiro: We five are trying to announce ourselves through a very Zen Kimi-esque chaotic and loud pop number. “Rebirth” is also a part of the title, and it’s because we are bringing out a brand-new Zen Kimi I think. I’m so happy that I was able to sing this song with these five members.

There are the thoughts of the two new members getting up on stage for the first time:

Togaren: Even at my first appearance on stage, I thought people would say harsher things to me, but everyone was so nice I thought they could be my parents.

Mikuchiyo Mene: Even when I started being able to do things I didn’t think I could do, everyone immediately noticed for me. So I really want to live up to their expectations and continue to work hard for them.

On the origins of live sex appeal:

Megumi: Previously, Gomochi and Aza held the eroticism, but now Mene is like the health teacher!

Yotsu The line from her lower back to her legs is really nice to look at.

Mene Well, actually, I’ve been keeping something quiet from everyone…

Megumi Huh…wha-…what?

Mene A while back I said that I studied hip-hop dance, and I even lied to my parents about it…but really I was practicing pole dancing…

Oh, and of course, those solo songs:

Megumi: This tour will also showcase our members’ solo songs. Mashiro’s was shown the other day at the birthday performance, but mine and Yotsu’s are still to be performed, so look forward to finding out where those will be performed. Togaren’s and Mene’s haven’t been made yet, so even they are waiting excitedly about what kind of songs they will be. I’m betting that Mene’s will be a vocaloid song! (haha)

Go read the whole thing, and tell Phillter how much you appreciate his work.

Also, Garry wrote a review of the single, so give that a look too, would ya?
