Babymetal World Tour Closing Show at Yokohama Arena Master Post

Rather than load up the blog space here with a post about every Babymetal Twitter rumor or photo or whatever, let’s have ourselves a nice little parking lot where all of the real, CONFIRMED news can live:

Day 1

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG NEW SONG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

So that epic exit at Makuhari Messe was leading to this …

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG SECOND NEW SONG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

New costumes(!)

Holy hell, this set:

Absolutely bonkers set from Babymetal's show at Yokohama Arena in December 2015. In addition to its Iron Maiden-themed Egyptian look, the members are being lowered to the stage in a triangular lift

Full set list.

Nope, sorry, not linking to the fan audio of the whole show. 🙂

Twitter people are also alleging that an album announcement (coming Day 2) was teased. Fun!

Also, much like other performances of theirs, WOWOW will be broadcasting this next year (Japanese fans or people who can access WOWOW streams, I really hope that you don’t go against all of your friends’ advice to be completely legal and ethical and record the hell out of that and post it to the Internet, potentially even giving this site a one-day exclusive).

Damn, and I wasn’t all that optimistic about the Yokohama concerts after some of the post-Makuhari Messe shows were kind of a letdown (new material-wise). This is a lot of stuff!

Day 2

APRIL 1 IS GOING TO BE THE MOST IMPORTANT DAY IN HUMAN HISTORY.

Some very smart person had this going around several months ago:

“OH IF ONLY SUCH A THING WERE TRUE WHAT A COINCIDENCE”

Yeah, Kobametal is just that far ahead of everything right now.

Well, pretty much anything else Babymetal-related is going to underwhelm in the face of:

  • A new album
  • A new world tour (pleasepleasepleaseplease come close)
  • The motherlovin’ Tokyo Dome

We’ll get a discussion post up for the tour dates eventually, but just this caveat to start with: Carolina Rebellion is already announced (good), and we’ve known about Wembley for a few months (better); that’s April 2 through the first week of May; the 2015 tour didn’t really get started until May, I guess because of the school schedule? So I think we’ll start to see festival dates come together over the next several weeks, and they’ll mostly be fleshing out the one-man parts of the schedule with the April 1 announcement.

We’ll also get to a post on that new album and the TWO new songs added to the roster of the unreleased.
