Okay, all that “best new” and “breakthrough” stuff last year was fun. We’ve officially gone way past the very bounds of madness at this point:
Best Live Band award is handed to @BABYMETAL_JAPAN. Who's seen them in action? #KerrangAwards pic.twitter.com/5RCrdsUiUU

On the one hand, anybody who’s ever seen a big Babymetal live knows that they go beyond all-out, and their production team goes even further than that, so that whoever Kerrang’s voters are like it isn’t surprising. I’m just still trying to get my head around … three Japanese idols still unable to legally drink taking a major award from one of the most important publications in rock.
Amazing.
Maybe it’s the fact that in the UK they can drink (and so can all the voters) which make them go “Yea! Fuck it.”
I sometimes wonder about that when they’re traveling abroad. The rules are different; has Su even partaken of a bit of fine English ale?
I’d say Su’s more of a Gin and Tonic girl.
I always wonder if she had been drinking with the (metal) gods yet. 😉
