Man, NECRONOMIDOL’s European Tour Keeps Getting More Interesting

The weirdest stuff happens sometimes, you guys, and in weird clusters.

We’ve known about Necroma hitting France and Italy this summer for a while, and it’s been pretty seriously suspected that there was more in the works than just what we knew. Ricky even kind of hinted at it during a recent twitcast.

So when Terry got wind of a London show (via), the hype machine started to heat up.

Ain’t no hype machine no more!

Even More Idol Circus Music? Yes and Please!

Life is full of surprises. Some make you poop your pants in terror; others make you pee your pants in glee. This falls somewhere in between because I’m not soiling myself, okay? I’m just excited.

Yes after well over a year of never, ever having live video of their performances available online, Bokura no Oyugi followed up those earlier entries with:

Terror quotient: Falling

That’s a little bit different than the last couple! This is more like if the Vandals were writing idol music. Or Modern Baseball, if you’d prefer a band that’s actually contemporary. Continue reading

It’s Time for More KIRAKIRA GERIRA!

Literally, because that’s the name of the song!

Thanks, Pure Idol Heart!

Babyraids JAPAN Will Bring Their Idorock Show to San Francisco

This is such cool news, gang: The impossibly infectious chief denizens of idorock, Babyraids JAPAN, will be performing at this year’s J-POP SUMMIT in San Francisco (says the guy repeating his own headline):

Tommy and Dave with the goods!

BAND-MAID, who are honorary members of the homicidol continuum, and SCANDAL, who are not but still cool*, will be there, too. Continue reading

I Love This New SAKA-SAMA Song

I will happily put myself down on the record as being a fan of SAKA-SAMA. Part of the Trash-Up!! stable that always has such glorious acts associated with it, they’re in a really cool creative churn with everybody from Dots to Avandoned and various points beyond and in between.

I will also admit to almost always just skipping the latest live videos that make their way onto the official Trash-Up!! channel on YouTube, which is a great channel, but which also has gone through serious runs of publishing the same few songs over and over again because idol.

Yesterday was different, though, and “Mirrorical Underground” is great! Continue reading

ICYMI Because I Sure Did: ‘World End Crisis’ Re-recording

So Zenkimi’s going to keep doing these late-night releases, huh? On the weekend. Why, it’s almost as if they’re prioritizing their domestic fanbase to maximize media impact in their largest market! And why not — their “Wagamama Shinsei Hominina” video is well on its way to being their most viewed ever.

Anyway, Zenkimi dropped their two-hour restricted window onto an updated version of “World End Crisis,” and you might dig that and so might the poor souls who find their way to idols through Google. I was very literally asleep when that happened, so John:

Well, here we are once again, ぜんぶ君のせいだ。 (Zenbu Kimi no Sei da.) is tossing us another bone. Here is the track World End Crisis re-recorded with the current lineup. I believe this is just a demo track due to the rawness of the mix. Anyway, it is a two hour window. Enjoy. Also, it seems that […]

The members and staff of Yukueshirezutsurezure are back in Japan after their successful tour:

You’ll Melt More Is Just That Damn Good

Brian tagged me in an RT yesterday, and I didn’t get what it meant for a little while, so again I’m like a day behind the really good stuff, but this is really, really good stuff.

You’ll Melt More!, who are certifiably amazing, are releasing a new mini-album and a DVD from their Loneliness and Counterattack tour:

BiSH Will Compel Me to Spend Money, Won’t They?

I was being a little lazy on the updates about BiSH’s upcoming EP because reasons, and leave it to John to have the goods.

I have one issue with this: The re-recordings with the updated membership; how dare you write Hug Me out of that history?

Otherwise, I don’t buy a ton of idol stuff myself, but I’m all over this stash.

Here we are about one month away from the release of BiSH’s new offering. Oh, and does it sounds like a good one. I always get excited for new things from BiSH because they are always so good. So, lets take a look at what we have on offer this time.
