Yukueshirezutsurezure Will Release Full Album, Shatter Your Dreams

It had been a little quiet on the Tsurezure front lately, so the ever-unsettling “we have an announcement to make at 22:00” tweet that went out last today (that’s “last night here, but today there” in Time Zone) was pregnant with possibility — another out-of-nowhere video release? a teaser track to follow their big sisters’ lead? the weird feeling in my heart that Shidare was going to move to said big sisters?

None of the above!

I make a bit of fun at the expense of the yami-kawaii set, with their fractured emotions and heroin aesthetic, and I have so many bad jokes lined up for the fact that this is a release during the holiday season and what better gift to get the troubled teen in your life, but this is an undeniable fact: Yukueshirezutsurezure has proven their mettle in their short year of existence, issuing some of the most starkly beautiful and frighteningly powerful music we’ve heard (often in literally the same song).

This is the step that I wanted for them. There are 10 songs, so there may be plural new ones, and I’m curious to hear how the current quartet sounds in picking up from earlier releases that may make it on, too.

Tsurezure management, if you’re reading this: I can’t wait to have my limited remaining sanity pureed by what you have in store for us.

Updating for clarity: Don’t let it be lost that there’s a one-man tour happening to promote this. They are on the exact same arc as Zenkimi was, with just a few pieces switched around and happening six months later. This is excellent.

  1. The album title is「ポスト過多ストロフィー」or “Post Catastrophe”. Quite the appropriate album title for TsureZure I think. With this and the new ZenKimi release it looks like some “Best Of” lists will possibly be getting revamped lol

  2. with nanoCUNE disbanded, BRGH on the way out- I have put all my cards into Musubizm and Yukueshirezutsurezure- Others may have felt the previous EP was hit and miss but I disagree, I think what we got was bookends with some context in the middle. I BELIEVE this 10 song album will be their crowning moment. This is my most anticipated IDOL release of the year- (until that “Fist Of The Lolli” thing happens)
