Your Homicidols Weekender #34

So you’ve probably encountered that whole Tokyo Girls thing from the BBC by now. It took me a while to watch it, and it took me a while to want to even really respond to it, and by then the takes were as many as they were diverse, but almost completely united around “seriously, another fucking hit piece?” So I’m not going to add anything to that, and I’d just as soon let the film go down the memory hole (at least this one approached the subject with a quasi-insider’s eye), so: No additional clicky stuff for that. In the meantime, though, I will repeat what I’ve said before, which is that idol fans need to police idol fans around the worst behaviors, which can also be applied to just about everything that has fans, because fans of things can be horrible people, but there’s nothing wrong with being a fan. Protect what you say you love, in other words.

Anyway. It was a pretty cool week in general!

  1. You posting that K-pop song reminded me of something:

We briefly talked about hardstyle idols with Marbles so i thought it would be worth bringing this to attention, song from K-pop boy group A.C.E with a bit of hardstyle sound to it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VYJKjyRjik
And for an all too brief moment they even use jumpstyle in their choreo, best seen here in their choreography video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4I2xgn6wTFM&feature=youtu.be&t=190

I demand someone do a metal hardstyle song with more extensive Jumpstyle used in the choreo! 😛

And thinking of that reminded me of this: https://youtu.be/Sb4nCoaCgh4?t=3478

    Hmm… I feel like i am forgetting something…

Oh yeah, Deadlift Lolita’s Sakurai Reika was on KUNOICHI.
