It feels like we don’t spend enough time around the sort of classical metal idols, like Mai here with this kind of VK-inspired melodic power metal and the long-dead, always-thrashy Haloperi Doll. Yeah, punk and hardcore and good ol’ fashioned rock ‘n’ roll tend to be the driving force behind a lot of the idols we dig, but how many of us got here in the first place because of Babymetal? You know? Funny.
