I Am So Conflicted about Seeing Cure at Tower

Well, here’s something that I literally never expected to see. Cure, to promote the release of their first album after a couple of years of tearing up the Osaka chika scene and two massive lineup changes in the span of like four months, did the Tower Records thing, and it’s surprisingly glorious:

Thanks PIH!

I like how Tenri’s pulling a Yuna-at-TIF there

Anyway, I’m so stoked for Cure that this is all happening. I’m sure that the album is great despite the fact that I’ll never hear it all, and I love that they’re getting at least this much out-in-the-open support. A Tower live isn’t reserved for those achieving in the mainstream by any means, but it does mean that you’re not just any other chika idol. Hence my conflict! I loved the Cure of tiny, dark stages and almost impossibly loud screams from impossibly tiny people, so seeing them in so much bright light at a major record retailer is a little discombobulating.

And for what it’s worth, the YouTuber who shared those videos has an awesome channel.
